It is the FORTY-THIRD year of Shakespeare in Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Shakespeare continues the tradition producing some of the best professional theatre in the country. This year’s Season of Generations includes Shakespeare’s hilarious, romantic comedy, As You Like It, directed by Carey Perloff; Oscar Wilde’s comic masterpiece of wit, The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by Paul Mullins; the greatest tragedy ever written in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, starring Charles Pasternak and Mike Ryan, directed by Susan Dalian; and Tennessee Williams’ beautiful, iconic American drama, The Glass Menagerie, directed by Charles Pasternak.
Performances take place outdoors in the enchanting Audrey Stanley Grove (The Grove) in Santa Cruz’s DeLaveaga Park through September 28. Tickets on sale at www.santacruzshakespeare.org.
